Good Evening,
Another great day...great food has been coming as well as loving support...the generosity is amazing and so much appreciated. I went on yet another walk that shows me I am stronger...still small steps but getting better and better. I am grateful every moment for every thing...Thank you seems so limited ....
This Sunday ....the guy that cuts and colors my hair is meeting me at a special time to honor my privacy...I will be tying my hair in a pony tail and cutting it off...this way I can donate it to most likely " locks of love" or at least something like that...then...we will creatively style my new short hair to prepare for going bald...WOW...if you see any crazy fun wigs or scarfs or ....send them my way...I'm ready to have fun with this...
I still don't have the details of the port surgery date or the first day of chemo...I should know soon...
I hope all of you are doing great...I miss teaching and I miss you all so much...it's quite possible that I will be able to teach once I sense the effects of the chemo...we'll be back together soon...and with even more love than we had before...everything is a gift ....everything can be a blessing...I have already felt deeper love and have more appreciation for every moment of my life...

Who ever gets your beautiful pony-tail will also get a big boost of your spirit and energy. Im really happy and honored with your decision to donate your locks..and I really respect your hair stylist for giving you a private appointment. Please pass the word to your stylist that it is very admirable for what they have done.
Thankyou for keeping us informed of your decisions and progress. At the very end of my most hectic, crazy days, I really appreciate that you have taken the time and amazing effort to stay in contact and inform us whats going on. You are truely remarkable.

Donating your hair is such a wonderful thing; it is so "you". Pass everything on, spread love and joy whenever you can. What a great idea, go with a new hair style, and move into the next phase. I love the idea of you in short hair. You can pull it off. (Actually, Summer, you can pull anything off!) Have you heard of the wig store on Cedros? I think it's called "Brighter Life" or something like that. My friend got her wig there after her chemo. Insurance paid. I have the pink scarf from the Susan G. Komen walk; it's yours.
We love you so much. You are such an inspiration to all of us.

Summer it is awesome you are feeling better! I hadn't been able to check your blog for several days because we have concrete being bored, termite tenting to be arranged and roofing to be installed. Its been nuts around here and super noisy.
I hope you have felt the shift....the Democrats are back in control in the Senate and the House. They are the hope to continue to do great work like they have done in the past towards freeing the human spirit (civil rights, social security, women's rights, etc.) There is so much to be done and so little time.
