Hi Everyone !!!!
I had a great day yesterday...I walked longer and covered more distance since the surgery...it's still a shuffle and it's only my little neighborhood street...but it feels like so much more than that...YEAH!!
My stomach feels better ...finally started going to the bathroom...what a relief....now I can eat a little more...still small servings....my stomach is so sensitive...
I get my port in my chest sometime this week...I'll keep you posted...if you want to come visit...please call or email...I'm feeling stronger ...
How are all of you??? What's been going on ????Tell me about your life....even the boring stuff...

You sound so much better, on the phone, and on the blog.
Glad to hear the bathroom thing is starting to work again. People who haven't been through it don't know what a big deal it is.
I think it is going to be pretty hot today, so when you are out on your big hike, wear a hat. You and I have always talked how we "bloom" when the weather turns cooler! I can't wait for that.
We all miss being able to work out with you so much. Keep reminding us how we have to stay in shape until you get back, so we'll be ready for those incredible workouts again. I've been kind of a "slug" lately, but I keep hearing your little voice in my head telling me to "get out there and do it!". I pledge to you I will do some cardio and other stuff every day.

Summer,
Hi friend. Lots going on here. Ally turned 8 Oct. 26th...wow. She had a movie birthday party. The place I live at has its own movie theater..really neat. We also have a big thing going on regarding Andys job (navy). After this school year gets over, we are anticipating 'orders' for our next duty station. We may end up in the Virginia Beach area or further North in the DC/Northern Virginia/Maryland area..a big move. Im kind of a nervous person so Im trying to handle everything as calmly as I can. My main concern is finding a school district that will support Allys special program. Things will work out.
Every day I walk the dogs and I really enjoy the fresh air..its how I relax. I would love to come for a quick visit sometime, if you are up for it. I will try to contact you by phone. I hope the pain subsides each day for you. Its amazing how much strength you have, and how much positive energy we all get from you. You are a gem. You are the brillant sunrise and the glorious sunset. You bring joy into so many lives. We all learn from you everyday Summer. Miss you soooo much.
